The Doors are OPEN
Welcome to Law!
That still feels quite strange to type. I say ‘strange’ for a couple of reasons. First, I still find it strange / confusing that it’s 2023 and I’m the first person to call their firm of solicitors ‘Law’. It’s also strange that I am finally opening the doors after what is and feels like years in the making.
This blog, hopefully weekly, will keep you up to date with what we’re doing and how we’re doing it. I’m as excited about writing this as I am about the firm, and that’s not to devalue JUST how excited I am about the firm!
First, let’s start with an introduction.
I’m Chris and I’ve been a qualified solicitor for a while now. I served my training contract at an unbelievably good firm in Southend-on-Sea called BC Legal. ‘BC’ taught me so much about prioritising Clients at all times by delivering an outstanding service. Since leaving in 2020, I’ve enjoyed gaining some extra experiences which (hopefully) will all come together to create a firm like no other.
To me, Lawyers (Solicitors, Barristers, Paralegals etc) are at their best when they’re teaching the law. That’s teaching their Clients what their case is about and how it can be resolved, teaching the Judge at Trial why their case is the better one, teaching the public on why they don’t need a lawyer and can do the work themselves for free (seems strange, right?).
We’re beginning with Divorce, Wills, Probate and Conveyancing although the last one will be with the help of a couple of firms I’ve hand-picked as being like-minded to my ethos and values. We’re just not quite ready to do the Conveyancing in-house but we will be soon.
I’d just like to say thank you for taking the time to visit the site, to read this first blog and of course to consider (if you are) using us as your firm of solicitors. We won’t let you down. Oh and don’t forget to check out littlebitsoflaw. Maybe more of that in my next blog…
